Paul’s range of outfits allows him to perform any era of Elvis’ career, and he is fascinated by them all, from the 50’s through to the 70’s. But when asked which era he enjoys performing the most, he says his favourite is the early 70’s.Why? Following the 1968 comeback special, Elvis re-invented himself. After a ten year absence from the stage there was huge demand for him to perform live, so Elvis used Karate to get back into shape and prepare himself. He soon reappeared in a fabulous new outfit, based on a karate Gi, and performed a range of brand new songs!
At that time Elvis was also in the best physical shape of his life, and the concerts that followed were the most energetic and enthralling performances of his career.
So with Paul’s Karate background, you can see why this era captures his interest!
